Summer means… TV BINGE

July 9, 2015

Ahhh, finally we have Summer nights for BBQs, firefly catching, time with family, ocean watching… or maybe just Netflix and Hulu? Let’s be honest, we’re probably spending most nights in front of a screen catching up on Piper and Alex. If you have a whole night, or even an hour, grab some wine, plop yourself in bed, and indulge in these Netflix and Hulu favorites.

  1. Orange is the New Black
Jump on the bandwagon! Orange is back with its third season and is still pleasing all sorts of fans. Providing insight to a world many have no knowledge of, it also gives a voice to complex females. Plus, it’s hilarious.
  2. Grace and Frankie
With the change of culture, so follows a TV show. Grace and Frankie hit the nail on the head. Starring the wonderful Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, these friends discover their husbands are in love. Cue drama and crude dialogue. For a dose of laughter as an older crowd pleaser, hit play.
  3. Bloodline
We’re not bad people… but we did a bad thing. Interested yet? If you’re looking for some family drama with a killer cast, tune into Bloodline.
  4. Moone Boy
An original from Ireland, this show follows Martin Moone growing up in Ireland in the late 80s. The catch? He has an adult imaginary friend played by creator, Chris O’Dowd. This show pulls at your heartstrings while also being hysterically quirky. You can find it exclusively on Hulu.
  5. Mother Up!
Another Hulu original, this animated series is full of zingers. Starring Eva Longoria playing a music executive attempting to perfect motherhood, many comedic tropes ensue!
  6. Sons of Anarchy
Oooh these bad boys are too much fun. Addict yourself to this California-based, self-governing motorcycle gang in the town of Charming. Drug busts, moving armed weapons, and family troubles consume this fiery mix.
  7. The Fall
Would you like to get inside the mind of a detective? What about the serial killer she’s investigating? For thriller lovers, The Fall glues your eyes to the screen and endorses sleepless nights.

Time to binge-watch…who’s with me? 🙂
